Situation
Several problems were identified, including unnecessary dunnage, expendable packaging, material waste, and pack size inefficiency.

Solution
Transfreight determined that the low-weight plastic part was not fragile (so no need for wrapping), the expendable containers needed to be eliminated and made into returnable with improved piece count, parts needed to be assembled into larger returnable conatiners, all internal dunnage could be eliminated, and part could be stacked on their side for better stability.

Result
Our solution increased part count per cube, reduced unpacking labor, and saved the customer wrapping, corrugated, and handling costs. Parts per pack was increased by over 120%.
