Situation
The customer had inadequate container management because of database and other system inefficiencies.

Solution
Transfreight improved the management of Plan for Every Part (PFEP) data, using our lean model, effectively stored packaging information and calculated the correct amount of packaging to be procured.

Results
The customer's total packaging budget for a new vehicle launch was two-thirds of what the comparison plant spent on packaging for similar size / type of vehicle with average distance of supplier and production volumes being comparable. We saved the customer millions of dollars in packaging procurement costs.
